Installation
Graco Slim Fit may have the name “slim,” but this all-in-one seat doesn’t measure up. Its dimensions make it quite long and bulky when compared to other 0+/1/2/3 all-in-one seats that we have tested; however, its features make it user friendly; making it a good option for families needing three across seating arrangements in their back seats.
As with the Graco 4Ever and TrioGrow seats, this seat rear faces to 43 inches or 40 pounds (whichever occurs first), making it suitable for children up to five years old. It features an easy one-handed harness buckle with square prongs that require slightly more force to close than most other Gracos we’ve tested; tightening strap tightens somewhat more slowly; overall design is user friendly though.
The seat was easy to install using the vehicle belt and switching back and forward facing modes was seamless. Unfortunately, however, the only drawback is its lack of an angle indicator, color-coding or lock-off feature, as well as more difficult tightening/securing than other Graco seats we tested – however this small sacrifice pays dividends when considering its ease of transitioning from infant to booster and its stellar crash test results.

Though it doesn’t offer Isofix attachment, the Slim Fit still provides ample protection in crash tests with its solid build and large wing-style headrest. Furthermore, this seat offers multiple headrest and harness positions for comfortable fit as well as being machine washable – not forgetting its lightweight design and 10-year expiration period!
Parents often rave about this seat’s easy installation and user-friendly features, including being compatible with lap belts in all positions (though some users report tightening issues). Parents appreciate its breathable material and comfortable design – and its use with 3-across configurations!
